Turn 1 Region

At Texas in the Turn 1 region there were no upsets. The higher seed advanced in every Head 2 Head Match up.

Turn 2 Region

The Turn 2 Region will prove to be the bracket buster of many. In this region of the Direct TV Head To Head challenge Tony Stewart crashed late and AJ Allmendinger eliminated him. Martin Treux Jr. also pulled off the mild upset and eliminated Jeff Burton who damaged his car late in the race by getting into the wall.

Turn 3 Region

In the Turn 3 Region the higher seed advanced in every match up. One notable match up in this region was between Juan Pablo Montoya and Brian Vickers. They both had problems and finished several laps down.


Turn 4 Region

The Turn 4 Region was the wildest of them all. Jeff Gordon who had the dominant car at Texas was eliminated because of a late wreck. He became the first #1 seed eliminated. Matt Kenseth the #2 seed in the region was also eliminated. He made a late pit stop and was eliminated by Scott Speed.
