Early Standings From “The Draft”
As many of you well know, there was a draft held back in February featuring seven fantasy NASCAR experts picking four rounds deep. Darren Fauth, PJ Walsh, Jordan McAbee, Micah Roberts, Eric McClung, Charlie Turner, and Dan Beaver all participated in this event.
With the drivers having an off-week, there isn’t much to write about, so I figured I would see how well these experts’ picks have gone thus far in the season. I’m sure these rankings will change (a lot) but so far through three races, the standings look like this:
1. Jordan McAbee – ifantasyrace.com – 395 points
(Hamlin, Stewart, Earnhardt Jr., Menard)
2. Darren Fauth – FantasyRacingCheatSheet.com – 356 points (-39)
(Johnson, Kurt Busch, Newman, Smith)
3. PJ Walsh – FantasyNASCARPreview.com – 326 points (-69)
(Edwards, Montoya, McMurray, Ragan)
4. Micah Roberts – RobertsNASCARNotes.blogspot.com – 322 points (-73)
(Kyle Busch, Biffle, Martin, Truex, Jr.)
5. Eric McClung – KFFL.com/NASCAR – 294 points (-101)
(Harvick, Bowyer, Kahne, Reutimann)
6. Charlie Turner – OnPitRow.com – 290 points (-105)
(Gordon, Kenseth, Ambrose, Keselowski)
7. Dan Beaver – Yahoo! Fantasy NASCAR/NASCAR.com – 258 points (-137)
(Burton, Logano, Allmendinger, Vickers)
Steal of the Draft (through three races): Paul Menard (+20 spots)
Dud of the Draft (through three races): Joey Logano (-22 spots)
