Dover FedEx 400: Drivers To Avoid
Paul Menard – Menard has only finished in the top fifteen once in his nine races at Dover (7th place finish is 2010). What you should expect out of Menard is a low twenties finish. In two-thirds of his races at the Monster Mile he’s finished between 19th and 24th. His overall average finish is 20.3. Last year Menard had an average finish of 20th and also had an average running position of 20th. (Yahoo! B Driver)

Juan Pablo Montoya – Juan Pablo Montoya has finished in the top ten twice at the Monster Mile (10 total races). The stat that really scares me about him is that he’s finished 22nd or worse six times (60%). Most of his good finishes at Dover are front loaded in his career. In the last seven races Montoya has a 25.1 average finish and has run in the top fifteen for just 36.9% of the laps run. Statistically Dover is pretty close to being one of his worst tracks. (Yahoo! Regan Smith – The last time the series visited Dover Regan Smith had his best finish. Unfortunately 17th place isn’t anything to brag about. All of his other finishes are 21st or worse. His overall average finish is 26.6 and I would argue it’s not skewed and a finish in that proximity should be expected. Smith has been racing at Dover since 2008 and since he’s been on the scene no driver in this weeks content has a lower driver rating (56.1 driver rating). (Yahoo! B Driver)
