First off thanks for all that you do Ryan. On the decision about who to start, how much do you let practice influence you? What about current momentum? This has bitten me a few times this year, but it seems if they practice well they should race well. That hasn’t always happened; in fact in the second session of YAHOO fantasy racing I’m killing myself with points left on the bench. I guess there’s a reason why a lot of people aren’t choosing my picks. I’m always looking for the long shot to payoff. Thanks again for your help.

Hi Tom,
I think practice is a big deal (of course some weeks are more important than others). The main thing I would focus on in this race is how well drivers have performed at 1.5 mile tracks this season. For this race I honestly don’t think practice is necessarily the most important because the track conditions in the race will be vastly different (noon vs 8PM).
For momentum the main thing I want in a driver is one who hasn’t been a DNF magnet in recent weeks. If drivers get a couple DNF’s in a row I’m worried.
