Tony Stewart – The #14 team is a high risk option at Charlotte. 1.5 mile tracks have been their achilles heel this season. At Charlotte in May Tony Stewart really struggled. He finished three laps down in 25th. He has a couple more finishes like that at similar venues this season. At Chicagoland he showed some muscle and finished a strong 6th. You might want to close your eyes when you look at his track history if you’re a Tony Stewart fan. His 8th place finish in last years Chase is his only top ten here in the last nine races. (Yahoo! Marcos Ambrose – In May Marcos Ambrose had a good car. He started in 2nd and led 20 laps. He wasn’t able to contend because  of an early broken hub. Last year at Charlotte he had finishes of 5th and 6th. Texas is the most similar on the schedule and earlier this season he had a top ten car but he ran out of gas in the closing laps and finished 20th. One concern about Ambrose is that it’s been six races (may need to change this fact) since he’s finished better than 15th. (Yahoo! B Driver)
