Regan Smith – Smith was using this practice session to basically get comfortable with the #88 car. Smith said that driving this car was a big adjustment. The #88 was said to be tight.

Kasey Kahne – Kahne said his car was great. Around the 3/4ths mark through practice he had the 2nd fastest 5 lap average. Early in practice Kahne had a bad tire rub.
