Matt Kenseth – Using his Kansas car. Was in qualifying setup exclusively due to rain expected in qualifying.

Brad Keselowski – Focused on race runs almost exclusively. Missing his crew chief this week.

Ryan Newman – Focused exclusively on qualifying runs.

Joey Logano – Missing his crew chief this week. It appears he worked on race runs. Said he needed “exit security”. His car wouldn’t crank with about 10 minutes remaining.

Martin Truex Jr. – Reported that his car was loose early in practice. He also said that it was on the splitter.
