Martinsville Goody’s Headache Relief Shot 500 NASCAR Practice #1 Notes

Danica Patrick – Got into the wall. Will be going to a backup car. Was using the chassis she used earlier this season. Got back out on the track with about  minutes remaining.

Desperate fantasy racers do desperate things. Smart fantasy racers get the ifantasyrace advantage. If you’re not a member you’re really missing out.

Kevin Harvick – Said his car wasn’t bad. He needs to turn better in the center and wants help on drive off. A little later he said the adjustments made to his car didn’t help. About a half hour through practice his car was better.

Practice #1 Speeds

Jimmie Johnson – Focused mainly on qualifying setup. Using a chassis that has won twice here including this spring. Did some experimenting.

Matt Kenseth – The team feels they have a good baseline setup based off his spring performance. Tight in race trim and said it pushed like a dump truck.

Martin Truex Jr. – Worked on race trim early. In qualifying trim he said his car was loose.
