Phoenix The Profit On CNBC 500 Practice #1 Notes
Dale Earnhardt Jr. – Bill Elliott was his spotter today. Car looked good early in NASCAR practice. During his first run he said his car is stable and comfortable, but just a little tight. Later he said he thinks he is off just a little bit. As a company he thinks Hendrick Motorsports is looking for speed.
Kevin Harvick – Started practice in race trim. Said his car is solid and comfortable. Started making about an 18 lap run to get a baseline setup. During his first run he was too tight in the center.

Jimmie Johnson – Reported that his car is super tight early in practice. After a change he said “still tight, not as bad”. After his 3rd and 4th run he reported that his car was a little snug. About 40 minutes into the session he said his car was pointy into turn 1 and lazy turning into the center.
Marcos Ambrose – Said his car is too tight early in practice. Was in race trim to begin with. Switched to qualifying trim about 40 minutes into the session.
Austin Dillon – His car is on the splitter on entry into the corner.
