Las Vegas Kobalt Tools 400 NASCAR Practice #2 Notes

Ryan Newman – His balance is good but it bounces loose. Said turns 1 & 2 are his biggest challenges.

Jimmie Johnson – His car is a little loose. Reportedly he has a “shake in his shifter”. At the end of practice his car was tight on entry.

Cole Whitt – His car is too tight. With about 10 minutes remaining in practice he hit the wall and brought out the caution. He will be be going to a backup car.

David Gilliland – Said his car is better over the bumps today then it was on Thursday. Later he changed shocks.

Austin Dillon – Got better over the course of a run in turns 1 & 2. In 3 & 4 his car stayed neutral. At the end of practice he reported that he was happy with his handling.
