42 1 #1 CAUTION FLAG! Clint Bowyer got into the back of rookie pole-sitter Kyle Larson just after the green flag flew, sending him for a spin. Larson had to pit for some front end damage, sending him to the back for the restart, but he was able to stay on the lead lap.
40 #2 CAUTION FLAG! Competition caution after Friday rain.
15 96 After dropping all the way down to 18th, Clint Bowyer pitted under green for tires.
99 #3 CAUTION FLAG! Debris on the front straightaway. Bowyer took the wavearound to end up just one lap down.
26 158 Cole Whitt headed to the pits under green with a small fire under the hood, around the right front tire. No caution was thrown.
160 #4 CAUTION FLAG! Debris from Cole Whitt’s car, including some small chunks of tire, a couple of which caught fire, brought out the yellow flag.
15 162 After pitting just before the caution, Clint Bowyer came back down pit road with a decent-size fire underneath the right front tire. Not long after, his car went to the garage. He finished dead last (43rd).
36 226 #5 CAUTION FLAG! Reed Sorenson almost came to a stop on the racetrack after an apparent tire problem.
13 228 After running inside the Top 20 for much of the race, Casey Mears was flagged for speeding exiting pit road. He restarted from the rear (28th).
48 279 Jimmie Johnson lost a number of spots after running inside the Top 10 for a long stretch, dropping as far back as 24th, reporting a tire issue. He pitted on Lap 290, going two laps down in 27th.
17 296 #6 CAUTION FLAG! Ricky Stenhouse Jr. got into the wall with a similar right-front issue that Whitt and Bowyer had, fire under the hood and all.
48 366 #7 CAUTION FLAG! Running 26th after an earlier green-flag pit stop, Jimmie Johnson slowed on the track with a tire coming apart. He finished a disappointing 32nd.
5 372 After one of his best runs of the year, Kasey Kahne had to head back to the pits for a possible missing lugnut, shuffling him all the way back to 22nd for the restart. Kahne worked his way back to 14th.
11 377 #8 CAUTION FLAG! Denny Hamlin was just an innocent bystander in a three-wide racing incident, sending him for a spin. Hamlin finished 22nd.
51 383 Rookie Justin Allgaier got into the wall not long after the restart after a very strong day. No caution, but it put him at the back of the lead lap cars (23rd). Allgaier finished 21st.
