Jeff Gordon – Started practice in race trim and was very fast. Said his car is a little tight in the corner. Ran 23 laps in the first 30 minutes. Very pleased with his balance and speed. Said it seemed to be pretty exceptional.

Aric Almirola – Tested here. Started off in qualifying trim. His car was a little tight.

Kevin Harvick – Had a vibration during his first run in race trim. During a later run in race trim he went to the top of the speed charts. His car is very quick this week.

Practice #1 Speeds

Ryan Newman – Started in race trim and then went to qualifying trim. In race trim his car was a little loose.

Clint Bowyer – Fought a tight handling condition early in race trim.
