Back to Normalcy…Somewhat

We’re back at a 1.5-mile cookie cutter race track this weekend–Kentucky Speedway. For fantasy racers, we have a bit of a disadvantage in handicapping the race this weekend because of limited data; the Sprint Cup Series has only raced at this track three times thus far. Kentucky is a very bumpy race track so tire conservation is going to be key on Saturday night. Kansas Speedway is the most similar race track to Kentucky, and one could also make a case for Chicagoland. Track position has shown to be very important at this track, and although it is not impossible to pass here, starting up front will be a definite advantage. For what it’s worth, the following drivers participated in a tire test here at Kentucky last month: Brad Keselowski, Jamie McMurray, and Brian Vickers.
