Yahoo C List Fantasy NASCAR Preview – Kentucky
Kyle Larson – Kyle Larson has never raced at Kentucky in a Sprint Cup Car. In the Nationwide Series he has a few starts under his belt. Last June in the lower series he started in 21st, had a 12th place average running position, and finished 7th. Last fall in the Nationwide Series he didn’t have a good race. He finished 33rd due to brake issues. This season on 1.5 mile tracks Larson has been a strong performer and his best finish was a 5th at Texas. On tracks of this length in 2014 Larson has scored the 12th most points and has a 13.5 average finish.

Austin Dillon – Last year at Kentucky Austin Dillon drove the #51 car. In the race he started 26th and had a 20th place average running position. In 22.1% percent of the laps he ran inside the top fifteen. When the checkered flag waved he finished 24th and earned the 24th best driver rating. In the lower series Dillon has had some success in the Bluegrass State. In 2012 in the Nationwide series he won both poles and both races. In June 2012 in the lower series he led all but 8 laps and had a 9.8 second margin of victory.

Danica Patrick – Last year at Kentucky Danica Patrick made her first start at this 1.5 mile track. As you would expect she wasn’t a factor. The plus side of her race is that she did complete every lap. In the race she started in 23rd, had a 26th place average running position and finished 29th. This season on 1.5 mile tracks Danica Patrick has results all across the board. Her best finish came at Kansas but I don’t think her success from that race will transfer over. Kansas has more banking and is smooth and Kentucky is relatively flat and bumpy. In the Kentucky Quaker State 400 I expect her finish will fall between her Las Vegas (21st) and Texas (27th) results.
