Practice was on hold for about the first hour of the session.

Jimmie Johnson – Practiced running by himself. His car is good and his speeds mirror that of February.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. – Using his Talladega race chassis. Planned on running a lot of laps. Lead the pack early in the session.

Joe Gibbs Racing drivers all worked together drafting.

Penske Racing drivers practiced working all by themselves.

Brain Vickers – “Car is driving pretty good”.
