Tony Stewart – Said his car was tight on low air pressure but it got better as it built up. Started practice in race trim. Was one of the fastest drivers late in the session.

Clint Bowyer – Had a tire go down and didn’t sustain any damage. His tire failure was due to low air pressure. Was happy with his balance.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. – Started practice in race trim with an 11 lap run. Had the best 10 lap average through the first hour.

Jimmie Johnson – Started practice in race trim with a 10 lap run. Didn’t make a qualifying run until there was about 15 minutes left.

Martin Truex Jr. – Started practice in race trim with an 11 lap run.
