Richmond Federated Auto Parts 400 NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes
Brian Vickers – Had a tire go down and got into the wall. Got some serious damage and will be going to a backup. Said his car was good in the first practice. He also said Goodyear brought a good tire.
Denny Hamlin – “Bad tight center. Bad loose off”. Was in qualifying trim the entire session.
Ryan Newman – Will likely be driving a conservative race because his magic number to finish is 18th. Tight in the center and loose off. “Once I quit over driving it, it drives pretty darn good.” His car was tight in qualifying trim.

Greg Biffle – Started in race trim. Said his car was really good. Went to qualifying trim about 30 minutes into practice.
Aric Almirola – In race trim early in practice he said his car was better. Went to qualifying trim about 25 minutes into Happy Hour. “Little bit too tight going across the center. I need to be a little bit freer and I need a little bit of drive off.”
