It all comes down to this. Either Kevin Harvick, Joey Logano, Ryan Newman, or Denny Hamlin is going to win this year’s Sprint Cup championship. Say what you want about the new Chase format but I haven’t seen this much excitement over the last month of a season in a while. Homestead-Miami Speedway is still the venue where champions are crowned, and it’s an interesting place because it’s an intermediate track but not shaped like a typical cookie-cutter. Plus, at this point of the year, many drivers just don’t care anymore and want to get to the off-season, so it’s hard to make picks. I’d lean more toward how teams have been on the bigger tracks this year as opposed to looking at history.
