Denny Hamlin – Really focused on race setup today because he’s been so good in qualifying in recent races here. Didn’t do a qualifying run until there was 3 minutes remaining.

Carl Edwards – Focused on race runs early to start building a note book. Said his car is OK. Went to qualifying trim 45 minutes into the session.

Jimmie Johnson – During his first run he reported that he was very tight.
