Dover FedEx 400 NASCAR Practice #2 Notes

Jimmie Johnson – His lap times were very impressive at the start of the session. Early in practice he said he got a good read on his car. He said it’s loose off both ends and he has a bounce in turn 3.  20 minutes into practice he made a 5 lap run and liked the adjustments that were made. At the end of practice Chad Knaus was pleased with Johnson’s lap times.

Jeff Gordon – Wasn’t running that well this practice session. His crew chief said his team just couldn’t find balance or speed.

Kurt Bucsh – Started the session with a 15 lap run and had good lap times. Had the best 10 lap average early. He was working on a snappy loose on quarter exit condition. He’s pretty pleased with his car. With 20 minutes remaining he said, “Car turns better everywhere. Good change there guys.”

Martin Truex Jr. – Had good speed during his opening run. At the end of the session his car remained fast.
