I don’t know about you, but I absolutely despise fuel mileage races. Unfortunately, we’re at the road course out in Sonoma this weekend. I say “unfortunately” because whenever the green flag waves at a road course, the crew chiefs are immediately working the race backwards on fuel. Hopefully it doesn’t come into play on Sunday but it probably will. Sonoma is a road course that requires more talent from the driver–compared to Watkins Glen–because of the limited passing options. Track position is important here and don’t be afraid to take a chance on a sleeper or two!
