Yahoo C List Fantasy NASCAR Preview – New Hampshire 301
Justin Allgaier – Justin Allgaier might be able to walk away from New Hampshire with a top 20 finish. There’s certainly reason to believe it might be in the cards. At the two tracks that correlate to possible success at New Hampshire he has a pair of 18th place finishes this season. Last September at New Hampshire Allgaier had a quiet afternoon. He finished 20th, had a 24th place average running position and earned the 26th best driver rating. Last July Justin Allgaier made his first start at New Hampshire. In the race he started in 25th, had a 27th place average running position and finished 37th after getting involved in an accident.

Ryan Blaney – I expect to see Blaney racing on Sunday. At the time of this posting the chance of rain on Friday at New Hampshire is only 8%. In a Sprint Cup car Blaney has never raced at Loudon. That said he’ll have a Penske prepared car and last year at this venue that organization swept both races and were clearly the team to beat. Blaney’s only race in any of NASCAR’s top divisions was a 10th in the Truck Series in 2014.
Danica Patrick – Danica Patrick has shown improvement and has finished better in every New Hampshire race. Last September she had a great performance and was better than her 19th place result. She had legitimate top ten potential but with about 40 laps remaining she damaged her left front fender after contact with Ambrose which led to her falling back in the running order. In the event Patrick had a 15th place average running position, earned the 17th best driver rating and ran in the top fifteen in 62.4% percent of the laps completed. Last July at New Hampshire she had a 23rd place average running position and finished 22nd. In fall 2013 she didn’t have a good race. She finished 27th, had a 25th place average running position and earned the 25th best driver rating. In July 2013 she made her first start. In that race on lap 237 she was racing Ricky Stenhouse Jr. for 22nd but she got loose and into the #17 which sent him into the wall. Prior to wrecking I would estimate her average running position was around 27th. When the checkered flag waved she finished 37th. At the other shorter flat tracks this season she’s had results of 25th (Richmond) and 26th (Phoenix).
David Ragan – You can’t expect too much out of David Ragan at New Hampshire. He has a 25.9 average finish and has only had a result in the top twenty a little over a third of the time. His recent stats when he drove for Front Row Motorsports were really bad and it wasn’t much better when he drove for Roush Fenway. Last September Ragan’s race was cut short when he was collected in a multi-car wreck. In his four New Hampshire races prior to that he had a best result of 19th and a 25.5 average finish. This year in the #18 car at tracks I would consider similar he’s had results of 21st (Phoenix) and 23rd (Richmond).
