Kyle Busch – Got into turn 3 really hard and his team went to a backup car. This won’t impact his starting position. He returned to the track about 30 minutes later.
Justin Allgaier – Said he’s looking for more grip following his first run. During a run 40 minutes into practice he said he was much better in turns 3&4 but he still needs help in turns 1&2. An hour into practice he said he needed more rear grip. During a run 90 minutes into practice he said he could turn better everywhere.

Sam Hornish Jr. – Said his car needed to turn better in the corners.
Clint Bowyer – Changed motors between practices. With 30 minutes remaining he said he was tight at both ends of the track. During a run 40 minutes into practice he said he was too tight.
