After Kevin Harvick’s questionable move at Talladega, the championship contenders are now down to him and the following: Joey Logano, Carl Edwards, Jeff Gordon, Kurt Busch, Brad Keselowski, Martin Truex, Jr., and Kyle Busch. This is the point of the season where something I call the “Chase Effect” comes into play, where those running for the championship typically see a boost in their finishes–especially if they have struggled at a particular track in the past.
