Auto Club 400 NASCAR Practice #1 Notes
Ryan Blaney – He’s never raced here in any series. His goal was to log laps and learn. Has a fast car.
Kyle Busch – Practiced in race trim for about half the session. Has a good car.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. – Missed the first 15 minutes of practice because of inspection issues last week. Was likely in qualifying trim the entire session.
Jimmie Johnson – Focused exclusively on qualifying trim. Liked his setup late in the session.
Brian Vickers – Practiced in race trim in the #14 car. Seems to like his car. Went to qualifying trim about 40 minutes into practice.
