Daytona NASCAR Practice #1 Notes

Kyle Busch – Totaled his car when his right rear tire blew out. Will be going to a backup car.

Penske Racing – Worked as an organization to try to get Ryan Blaney a fast practice time in case qualifying is rained out.

Paul Menard – Reported that his car drove well, but bogged down really easy.

Austin Dillon – “Feels pretty good, boys.”

Dale Earnhardt Jr. – Using his Sprint Unlimited chassis (finished 15th). Practiced leading a small pack. Wasn’t happy with his balance. Said his front tires felt like pizza cutters.
