Indianapolis NASCAR Practice #1 Notes

Jeff Gordon – Practiced in the #88. Spent a lot of time in a simulator the last few days. Had very good speed early in the session. Reported he lacked grip.

Kyle Busch – Spun with 20 minutes remaining. Didn’t get any damage. Ran very competitive lap times.

Jimmie Johnson – Happy with his car. “Good changes from the test. I think we’re going to be in great shape.” Started in qualifying trim. Went to race trim about 30 minutes into practice.

Carl Edwards – Had good long run speed. Ran consistent lap times.
