Watkins Glen NASCAR Practice #1 Notes

Joey Logano – Had very good speed this session. Feels like he’s in the hunt.

Martin Truex Jr. – Happy with his car. Did a lot of focus on short runs this session.

Jeff Gordon – Didn’t seem happy with his car early. During his second run he said, “Not much improvement there, still super tight.” Following his 3rd run he said, “That was a big improvement.”

AJ Allmendinger – Has a fast car but wasn’t happy with it. 30 minutes into practice he said he was terrible. Using his Sonoma car. Still wasn’t happy with about 20 minutes remaining.

Chris Buescher – Will be getting full Roush support for the rest of the regular season.
