Pure Michigan 400 NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes
NOTE: Practice was shortened due to weather.
Denny Hamlin – Very fast. Loose on entry. Spun into the grass about 15 minutes into practice and got some minor damage to the front of his car. Won’t be going to a backup car. Thought he had a top 3 car prior to the spin.
Carl Edwards – Wasn’t all that happy with how his car turned in practice #2 on Saturday morning. Used this session to work on that issue.
Chase Elliott – Kasey Kahne’s crew chief said, “The 24 car in front of you is the best car right now.”
Ryan Newman – “Much more drivable race car.”
Landon Cassill – “Pretty tight. But pretty secure, predictable.”
