Texas NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes
Kasey Kahne – Showed more speed this session. 20 minutes into practice he said, “I’m tight getting into Turn 1, and once I get it turned I get going pretty good.” With 20 minutes remaining he said, “Not sure what you did, but it was way better in Turns 1 and 2.”
Kevin Harvick – He was very happy with his long run speed. His short run speed wasn’t good. His team ended the session happy with their car.
Kyle Busch – Liked his car in the first practice session. Has a lot of confidence in his backup car. Said his car fired off amazing and then he got tight.
Martin Truex Jr. – Was very fast. Had the best 5 lap average and the best 10 lap average (midway through practice).

Michael McDowell – During his opening run he reported he was “real tight.” Ended the session 14th on the speed chart.
