Bristol Fantasy NASCAR Front Runner Rankings
Ryan Blaney – Ryan Blaney is a quality sleeper NASCAR fantasy option at Bristol and his 22.7 average finish should help keep him below the radar. Last year at Bristol he ran well in both events. Last summer he had a strong car and was a top ten contender but finished a misleading 35th after being collected in a multi-car wreck around lap 374. In the race he started in 4th and up until his wreck I would estimate his average running position was around 10th. Last spring he had a quality showing. He earned the 8th best driver rating, had an 11th place average running position and finished 11th. Additionally in the race he ran 93.6% percent of the laps in the top fifteen. In his summer 2015 Bristol debut he finished 22nd. At Bristol in both the Truck Series and Xfinity Series Blaney has raced his way to victory lane. (Yahoo B Driver)

Chase Elliott – Chase Elliott had a successful rookie season at Bristol. Between the combined 2016 races he scored the 4th most points and was one of four drivers who had a single digit average finish (9.5). Now that he has a year under his belt look for him to race like a seasoned veteran around “The Last Coliseum.” Last summer at Bristol he had a successful race and performed slightly better than he finished. When the checkered flag waved he earned the 5th best driver rating, had a 9th place average running position, led 14 laps and finished 15th. Performance wise I would say he was really about 10th place good, but around lap 370 he damaged his nose after being involved in a wreck. In spring 2016 he finished 4th and earned the 6th best driver rating. It was a spectacular result because his race wasn’t incident free. Around lap 180 he made an unexpected pit stop and went two laps down. He rallied back from that and did a good job moving towards the front at the end. (Yahoo B Driver)

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. – Bristol is a great track for Ricky Stenhouse Jr. It’s home to his best average finish (10.6) and over his 8 starts he’s finished in the top six 50% percent of the time. He’s also done a good job avoiding trouble because in every start he’s finished in the top 21. In 2016 he had a good year scoring the 3rd most points between the combined events. Last summer at Bristol he had a good car and finished runner-up from the 25th place starting position. It should be noted he had a 21st place average running position and he only really came to the front following pit strategy after the “Big One” around lap 370. In spring 2016 he finished 16th, but it should be noted he was running in 9th with 20 laps to go. In August 2015 he had his worst Bristol race and finished 21st. He didn’t run well that evening and also got into the wall with 118 laps to go while running in 19th. In the three Bristol races prior to that he had results of 4th, 6th and 2nd. (Yahoo B Driver)
