Richmond NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes
Jamie McMurray – Thought he was good in turns 1 and 2. A little off in turns 3 and 4. Said his short run speed is a little off. Thinks he’s about as good as anyone over long runs. Happy with his car.
Kurt Busch – His problem in practice #1 was a spark plug wire. 15 minutes into practice he liked his car. He said, “That feels pretty exciting. It connected the entry, middle and exit.” Happy with his car. Started to have electrical problems right at the end of practice.
Matt Kenseth – Jeff Gordon thought his car looked really strong.

Clint Bowyer – Appears to have a good car. Said his car was a lot better off turn 2 then 4. His teams focus was to improve in turns 3 and 4. With 7 minutes remaining his crew chief said, “If we keep being consistent like this we are going to be pretty bad a$$.”
Michael McDowell – His spotter said during his first run, “Good laps right here.” 25 minutes into practice his spotter told him he ran consistent lap times.
