Overall Note: Most teams just focused on qualifying trim this session. Teams want to keep miles down on their engines until Saturdays sessions.

Kyle Larson – Pounded the wall hard with 8 minutes to go.

Regan Smith – Driving the #43. Said running last weekend really helped. Said he felt good about where his car will be later. Was in qualifying trim exclusively.

Clint Bowyer – Focused exclusively on qualifying this session. Using the same car he used during All-Star weekend. Got into the wall about 45 minutes into practice. It looked like hard contact but it didn’t look like there was a lot of damage.

Austin Dillon – Has a new crew chief this weekend. 45 minutes into practice his spotter said, “Turns 1 & 2 look pretty good.”

Joey Logano – Ran 10 laps in race trim. Only real notable driver who spent time in that setup.
