Daytona 500 NASCAR Practice #3 Notes

Drivers who are in backup cars following the Duel 150’s: Brad Keselowski, Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Larson, Austin Dillon, Aric Almirola, William Byron, Matt DiBenedetto and David Gilliland.

Brad Keselowski – Practiced in his backup car. His backup car won at Talladega last fall. His crew chief thinks his backup car is as  good as his primary car was.

Austin Dillon – His backup car is his Clash car. 40 minutes into practice he said, “I feel more comfortable in this car. I’m glad we did this.”

Denny Hamlin – Practiced leading a big draft. His car looked pretty good. Drove all over the track to really get a feel for his car. Ran a lot of laps. Said his car is way better today then it was last night.

Kevin Harvick – Worked on his handling today. His car has a ton of speed but he needs it to handle a little better.

Jamie McMurray – His team did a lot of body work this session.
