Ryan, I’ve noticed more and more of this issue as weeks go by…..
The ranking/placement of so many drivers isn’t consistent between the different mechanisms you use to present the data.
Examples:
Hamlin, you’ve got him 3-8 in your Likely Finish page, yet you’ve got him ranked 10th in the Post Practice page.
Suarez, you’ve got him 11-16 Likely Finish yet on the Post Practice page you’ve got him finishing 17th.
Jones, he’s 7-12 Likely Finish and in Post Practice page you’ve got him ranked 4th.
Many other examples each week. The Confidence Ranking Picks page has no consistency with the other pages mentioned either. That may be drawn up early, pre-race weekend, but there should be an explanation of why rankings are so variable.

Hi Bozo,
Thanks for being a member and asking this question. I think maybe we’ll clarify things in the future since this is like the second question kind of like this in the last few weeks.
One thing to keep in mind is that ifantasyrace.com has multiple authors. I give my post practice perspective in my Confidence Rankings (and other posts like Likely Finish Ranges) and the Post Practice Predictions post is from Jordan McAbee. This way we provide more than 1 fantasy perspective and I think its a great thing. That’s why things are different as your citing above.
In terms of drivers falling outside of ranges in my post (Confidence Ranking Picks), I try not to do but its hard to avoid at times since so many drivers fall under a similar finish range umbrella. In my Confidence Rankings (looked at it to see if there’s differences) among the top 15, 13 of the 15 drivers fall within the range listed in this post and the drivers who are outside is just a 1 spot difference.
Hope this clears it up.
