Indianapolis Early Week Pre-Practice Top 20 Fantasy Projections
After Brad Keselowski’s win at Darlington last weekend, we now have two straight races without a win from the Big Three, but it’s going to take a lot for anyone to beat Harvick, Kyle Busch, and Truex here at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday. The strongest cars always make their way to the front here at The Brickyard, so it may be surprising to you that Ford hasn’t won here since 1999 with Dale Jarrett. That could change this weekend. Last season at Indianapolis, Kyle Busch and Truex wrecked each other while racing for the lead, and then chaos broke out from there. At the end of the day (literally) Kasey Kahne was declared the winner in a controversial finish with guys like Matt DiBenedetto, Chris Buescher, and A.J. Allmendinger also getting top 10s. Typically Indianapolis races are very predictable, though, so for Fantasy NASCAR purposes, I’d exclude last year’s Brickyard 400 race when analyzing the data this week.
