Indianapolis Final Fantasy NASCAR Predictions
NASCAR’s first head-to-head weekend with the NFL hasn’t gotten off to a very good start, as rain at Indianapolis Motor Speedway has really messed up the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series schedule. All on-track activity was cancelled on Saturday–two practices and qualifying were set to be run–and the start time for Sunday’s Big Machine Vodka 400 at the Brickyard Presented by Florida Georgia Line (yes, that’s the title of the race) has been moved up to 1pm ET. Unfortunately, more rain is in the forecast on Sunday, so it’s looking like it’ll more than likely be a Monday race this week. Of course, there’s always a chance that the weather forecast is wrong, so be sure to keep an eye out on Sunday just in case they do get the race started.
Kyle Busch is on the pole for this year’s race at The Brickyard due to the rulebook, and the full starting lineup for the 2018 Indianapolis race can be found by clicking here.

Final Top 25 Rankings for Indy
1. Kyle Busch – Starts 1st – DraftKings Price: $11,700 – FanDuel Price: $14,000
**Risk Factor: Low Risk**
Not having any practice time or qualifying actually plays right into Kyle Busch’s hands. Not only was he awarded the pole for Sunday’s Brickyard 400, but the #18 team has also had the dominant setup here at Indianapolis over the last two years–while also finishing 2nd or better in four of the last six races at this track. Additionally, Rowdy won at Pocono back in July (which is the most similar track to Indy on the schedule), and has finished 3rd or better in the last three races over there. Busch should be the highest-picked Fantasy NASCAR driver this weekend–and for good reason–so if you want to try a hail mary and fade him, this would be a great chance. Just know that it’s probably not going to work out.
2. Kevin Harvick – Starts 2nd – DraftKings Price: $12,200 – FanDuel Price: $13,700
**Risk Factor: Low Risk**
Kevin Harvick was one of the few big-name drivers that escaped Indianapolis without a totaled race car last season, and that was good for a 6th-place finish. That makes it three straight Brickyard races in a row for “Happy” inside that mark, and four straight top 10s. As far as this weekend goes, the #4 Ford will roll off the grid from 2nd alongside Kyle Busch once the race goes green, and there’s no reason to think that Harvick isn’t a top 5 threat. The Fords are always strong at the high-horsepower race tracks, and looking at Pocono, Harvick currently has five straight top 5s there. Looking specifically at Indianapolis, the #4 Ford has put up the 2nd-most fastest laps in the last three races, and Kevin is tied for the best average running position (6th, with Kyle Busch).
3. Kyle Larson – Starts 7th – DraftKings Price: $11,300 – FanDuel Price: $12,800
**Risk Factor: Low Risk**
It’s hard to tell whether Kyle Larson will have as good of a car in Indianapolis this weekend as he did at Darlington last weekend, but let’s just say it’s not super likely. Still, the #42 Chevrolet should be able to challenge for a top 5 finish whenever this Brickyard 400 goes green. Before last year’s disaster of a race here, Larson never finished worse than 9th in three Cup Series starts here at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and even posted a career-best finish of 5th here in 2016. Additionally, Kyle wound up 2nd in the first Pocono race this season, and with the Chevrolet teams really coming on as of late, almost everything is pointing to a really good race for this #42 team this weekend.
