On lap 8 it was mentioned that Bubba Wallace was really happy with his car. It had good drivability.

On lap 13, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. solidly took the lead. He then led the next 30 laps.

On the final lap of Stage #1 Kyle Busch was really surging towards the front.

Notable Moments During the Stage Caution
- Kevin Harvick had a slow pit stop so his team could fix cooling hoses inside his cockpit.
- Ryan Blaney’s team didn’t fill up his car all the way with gas so he made a second pit stop
- Michael McDowell made an extra pit stop. There was a toe issue with his car. He ran very well in Stage #1.
- During the Stage Caution, Jamie McMurray made a second pit stop.
Notable Moment: When Stage #2 started, Ty Dillon didn’t get up to speed. He had no fuel pressure.
Big Moment: On lap 49, Paul Menard spun and damaged his car. He had a lot of damage to his hood. At the time of his incident he was running in 15th. His team was able to repair his car but he lost quite a few laps.

Big Moment: On lap 54 a “Big One” ensued right near the front of the pack. Keselowski who was running in 2nd at the time was turned by Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Tons of drivers were involved. Those who were involved were Keselowski, Austin Dillon, Harvick, Elliott, Almirola, Hamlin, Blaney, Ty Dillon, Bowyer, Stenhouse Jr., Suarez, Menard, Logano, Kurt Busch, Larson, Wallace, Johnson, Bowman, Kahne, Truex Jr., McMurray, Ragan, and Chastain
- Drivers who got “DNF level damage” from this were …. Blaney, Hamlin, Keselowski, Logano, Elliott, Blaney, Kurt Busch and Suarez
- In a post DNF interview, Keselowsk said his car was really fast.

Big Moment: On lap 65 a “Big One” ensued. Drivers collected were Kyle Busch, Byron, McMurray and Bayne. While running in 2nd, Kyle Busch spun after contact from Ricky Stenhouse Jr. William Byron was the leader at the time.
