Atlanta Early Week Top 20 Fantasy Projections

Now the “real” racing begins. The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series moves up a state this week to good, old Atlanta Motor Speedway–and I mean “old” in a literal way. This track hasn’t been re-paved since 1997, and the abrasiveness shows, as tires wear out way more quickly than normal. Drivers love this track, and so do the fans. Especially Kevin Harvick fans, as “Happy” has led a combined 473 laps in the last two races here, and at least 116 in the last five. Will that streak continue? We’ll find out soon enough.

Hey Ryan, starting to grow web feet here in the Atlanta area. I know that rained out Q rules are different for the first few races of the season but not sure exactly how that works. If Friday practice and qualifying are rained out how will the grid be set? Thanks!

Uh oh, sorry I didn’t see this one. It would be set by 2018 points for the first three races.
