Joey Logano who won the pole selected to start in the high-line. He led the opening 40 laps.

Notable Moment: On lap 3, Daniel Suarez (started 8th) got into the wall hard and then came to pit road. Alex Bowman got a little bit of damage from this incident because he was right behind Suarez. This dropped Suarez a handful of laps down.

On lap 7, Kyle Larson was up to 24th. He started in 39th in a backup car.

Notable Moment: On lap 56, Bubba Wallace had a tire rub. He immediately came to pit road.

Big Moment: On lap 57, William Byron’s engine blew up. He was running around 17th at the time.

During the Byron caution, Ryan Blaney and a few others took tires. Stenhouse Jr. was the leader because he took two tires. Stenhouse Jr. fell back pretty quickly.

During the Stage #1 caution, Denny Hamlin made an extra pit stop so his crew could do some repairs to his nose. His car was damaged during an accordion effect during a restart. This dropped him down to the high-twenties.

Paul Menard had a strong car. On lap 114 he was running in 7th which was the highest of the non-playoff drivers. He liked his car.

Notable Moment: On lap 123 during green flag pit stops, Aric Almirola and Kurt Busch both were penalized for having uncontrolled tires. This dropped Busch two laps down to the high-twenties. This dropped Almirola a lap down to the low-twenties.

Big Moment: On lap 124, Paul Menard came to pit road. He had a good amount of damage to the front of his car after having contact on pit road. Prior to his problem he was running in the top ten. A little later he came to pit road again.
