All-Star Race NASCAR Combined Practice Notes

Brad Keselowski – Had power steering problems that had him way down on the speed chart. His team was really doing head scratching to get his car better. Only ran 5 laps.

Kevin Harvick – Has a fast car and ran a lot of laps to get a feel for it. Late in practice he jumped to the top of the speed chart. Near the end he said his car feels good. Ended the session 2nd.

Jimmie Johnson – Following his first run he said his Chevy is pretty good. During his 2nd run he didn’t like his car as much. He said its dragging a little in the front and was snappy loose (22nd at the time).

Alex Bowman – Following his opening run which put him 5th his crew chief said, “You’re P5 on the board right there. Lap times look really good.” His car was really loose. Ran a good amount of laps. Near the end after completing 45 laps he said his car is tight.

Austin Dillon – Reported his car was loose during his opening run. Has a fast car.
