Joey Logano – Joey Logano should be near the top of your fantasy NASCAR radar at Daytona. He’s one of the best super speedway drivers in NASCAR and he’s always a factor here. In 6 of the last 7 races on this track type he’s finished in the top 5. At Daytona, Logano’s won here in the past and in recent races he’s been remarkably consistent. In 5 of the last 7 races he’s finished between 4th to 6th. In this years Daytona 500, Logano had a great car. He finished 4th overall, 3rd in Stage #1 and 10th in Stage #2. If he would’ve had some help at the end I think there’s a good chance he could’ve won. In his Duel 150 leading up to the Daytona 500 he raced his way to victory lane. Last summer at Daytona, Logano had a fast car but finished a misleading 39th after crashing in the lap 54 “Big One.” One lap before wrecking he was running in 11th. If his race would’ve been incident free I’m sure he probably would’ve been a factor. In last years Daytona 500 he had a great car and finished 4th. Additionally, he earned the 2nd best driver rating and finished 3rd in Stage #2. In summer 2017 he had a strong car but wrecked and finished 35th. At the time of his wreck he was running around 10th. In the three Daytona races prior to that he finished between 4th to 6th. At Talladega, the other super speedway on the schedule he led 37 laps and finished 4th this spring.

Alex Bowman – Alex Bowman will be a driver to watch at Daytona. He’s one of the hottest drivers in NASCAR and he’s also been a pretty solid super speedway driver. At Talladega this spring, in the first race in the post-plate era he finished 2nd. At Daytona over the last three combined races, which outlines his tenure in the #88 he has the 2nd best driver rating, the best average running position (9.0) and a 12.7 average finish. In this years Daytona 500, Bowman was solid. He finished 11th, had an 11th place average running position and earned the 8th best driver rating. Last summer, Bowman ran well throughout the event. He finished 10th in Stage #1, 3rd in Stage #2 and then finished 10th when the checkered flag waved. In last years “Great American Race” he showed a lot of speed from the pole but finished 17th after being involved in the “Big One” with two laps to go. Two laps prior to wrecking he was running in 8th. From the completion of Stage #2 to the end he was a driver who consistently drove in the top ten.
Kyle Busch – Kyle Busch nearly won this years Daytona 500 and on Saturday night he’ll be a driver to be reckoned with. Many of his recent results aren’t good, but don’t let that scare you away because he’s been very competitive and has been a top 5 contender in 7 straight races. In this years Daytona 500, Busch finished 2nd, earned the 2nd best driver rating, had a 6th place average running position, won Stage #1 and led 37 laps. Last summer he had a fast car, but finished an asterisk mark 33rd. In the race he finished 2nd in Stage #1 and was 2nd at the time of his demise on lap 65 when Ricky Stenhouse Jr. wrecked him. In last years Daytona 500 he looked good, but had a couple of flat tires and his second flat did a pretty good amount of damage which doomed him to a 25th place finish. Prior to his first flat he was running in the top five. In summer 2017, Busch was involved in a “Big One” that damaged his car dooming him to finish 20th. Six laps prior to wrecking he was in 4th. At Talladega this spring, Busch finished 10th.
