Michigan NASCAR Practice #2 Notes
Kevin Harvick – His car looked really strong. He had the best 5 and 10 lap averages. In an interview he said his car was fast.
Daniel Hemric – He started the session with a 13 lap run that put him 15th. He reported that his car needs to be in the race track a little bit more while in traffic. During his second run while he was 19th practicing in the draft he said his overall speed was better.
Joey Logano – His car looked really strong early in the session. Logano spent some time testing the PJ1 (traction compound). Has a fast car. 40 minutes into practice he was 5th.
Chase Elliott – He practiced coming down pit road three times early in the session. 15 minutes into practice while he was 24th he said his car “Drove pretty reasonably.”
Bubba Wallace – 20 minutes into practice while he was 12th he said, “Just need a little more security in the front tires when we’re racing in traffic.” Late in practice while he was 23rd he was looking for more grip.
