Kevin Harvick started in the rear of the field because of multiple inspection failures. When the race went green he had to serve a pass thru penalty since he reached that penalty level.
Ryan Preece started in the rear of the field in a backup car.

NOTE: Unfortunately, the NASCAR running order wasn’t overlayed in the replay so I’m not able to provide the running order periodically as I always do. Sorry about that.
Chase Elliott who started on the pole led the opening 38 laps.
Notable Moment: When the race went green, Harvick came to pit road. The caution on lap #2 was helpful for him because it only dropped him a lap down.
Big Moment: On lap #2, Aric Almirola got into the wall. Back in mid-pack in a domino effect a multi-car accident ensued. Drivers collected were Kyle Busch, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Ryan Preece. Kyle Busch had a lot of damage to his bumper. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. had a lot of damage to his nose. Ryan Preece got some damage to his left front. Aric Almirola had suspension problems and he took his car behind the wall. This marked the end of Almirola’s race.
Notable moment: Ricky Stenhouse Jr. got black flagged shortly after the race went back to green following the Almirola caution because of how his nose was buckled up.
Big Moment: On lap 38, a multi-car accident ensued. Drivers collected were Chase Elliott, Ryan Preece and Corey LaJoie. Elliott was the leader at the time. The damage was very minimal to all three drivers.
Clint Bowyer didn’t pit during the lap 38 multi-car accident and he got the lead.
Running order at the time for the restart of the lap 38 caution: 14,11,12,22,2,48,88,6,19,13 … 42,41,21,24
On lap 42, Denny Hamlin got the lead and he led the next 7 laps.
On lap 49, Erik Jones got the lead. He then led the next 10 laps.
Notable Moment: Kevin Harvick made an unexpected pit stop around lap 50. This dropped him a couple of laps down. He was now three laps down.
Notable Moment: Erik Jones made an unexpected pit stop while leading on lap 59. This dropped him a couple of laps down.
On lap 59, Ryan Blaney got the lead after Erik Jones pitted and he then led the next 59 laps.
Notable Moment: Shortly after lap 60, Kyle Larson made an unexpected pit stop because of a vibration. This dropped him a couple of laps down. During his pit stop he had an uncontrolled tire and had to serve a pass thru penalty.
Kyle Busch’s car was pretty good despite his damage. Around approximately lap 100 he was battling Denny Hamlin for 8th.
Around lap 100, Chase Elliott said his car had a real heavy wheel to it like he had a power steering problem.
Clint Bowyer had a strong car. Shortly after lap 100 he was battling Ryan Blaney for the lead. Bowyer’s car was really strong at running the bottom groove.
Notable Moment: Around lap 109 while running around 11th, Alex Bowman made an unscheduled pit stop.
Big Moment: On lap 115, Daniel Hemric backed into the wall after contact with Ross Chastain.
During the Hemric caution, Bowyer and Ty Dillon stayed out. Many of the other front runners pitted.
Stage #1 Top Ten Finishers (Lap 125): 13,14,2,22,48,18,12,21,19,9
During the Stage caution, Clint Bowyer and Ty Dillon pitted. Essentially everyone else stayed out because they pitted shortly before the Stage caution.
Running order at the start of Stage #2: 2,22,48,18,12,19,6,41,
To start Stage #2, Brad Keselowski was the race leader. He led the next 15 laps.
Matt DiBenedetto was pretty racy. Early in Stage #2 he was running in 8th.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. went behind the wall shortly after the start of Stage #2 for repairs.
Joey Logano had a strong car. On lap 145 he passed Brad Keselowski for the lead and he then led the next 111 laps.
The top 3 at lap 145 were Logano, Keselowski and Kyle Busch.
Martin Truex Jr. had a good long run car. He was battling Keselowski for 2nd around lap 180. His car was really good at running the low-line.
Notable Moment: Around lap 214, Matt Tifft spun after contact with Chase Elliott which brought out a caution.
Ryan Newman had a strong car. He was running in 3rd around lap 230.
Notable Moment: Right before the end of Stage #2, Martin Truex Jr. made an unexpected pit stop because of a tire issue. Right before his problem he was running in 2nd. This dropped him a couple of laps down.
Stage #2 Top Ten Finishers (Lap 250): 22,12,6,2,18,1,37,14,3,41
Shortly after the start of the final Stage on lap 271, Truex Jr. got some slight rear bumper damage. It caused a debris caution.
