On lap 15, Denny Hamlin tried running the high groove in traffic (cars getting lapped already) and Kyle Larson dove underneath him and passed him. Larson then led the next 9 laps.

Notable Moment: On lap 68 while running in 9th, Joey Logano made an unexpected pit stop. He had a flat left front. His team also had problems during his stop and it dropped him 3 laps down.
Big Moment: On lap 80, Austin Dillon had a tire go down and Jimmie Johnson ran into the back of him. Race leader, Denny Hamlin was also slightly involved in the incident. Austin Dillon had a good amount of damage. Johnson also had a good amount of damage and it dropped him a lap down.
During the caution for the 3/48 accident, Denny Hamlin had a slow pit stop to repair damage. It dropped him from the lead back to 11th.

Notable Moment: On lap 187, Denny Hamlin who was running in 10th made an unexpected pit stop because of his loose wheel. This dropped Hamlin a lap down back to the mid-twenties.
Big Moment: On lap 189 after Denny Hamlin just exited pit road, Aric Almirola crashed. His car had a good amount of damage. Almirola kept on going but it dropped him a lap down.
Martin Truex Jr. won the race off pit road following the Almirola caution. He then led the next 52 laps.

Notable Moment: On lap 214, Aric Almirola spun again and this brought out a caution.

Notable Moment: On lap 244, Clint Bowyer spun and brought out a caution. Bowyer didn’t get any real notable damage. During this caution, some front runners pitted and others didn’t. Drivers who didn’t pit were Kurt Busch, Daniel Suarez, Ryan Newman, William Byron and Daniel Hemric. Those drivers all placed in Stage #2. Kyle Busch also didn’t pit, and he didn’t pit during the Stage caution which got him the lead a little later in the race.
Big Moment: During the Clint Bowyer caution, Kevin Harvick who was running in 4th went to the garage and his race was over because of transmission problems.
