Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Kentucky

Joey Logano – Joey Logano didn’t have the best car last year at Kentucky, but he would’ve won if there wasn’t a late caution. With 11 laps to go he was leading and had solid command of the race, but then with six laps to go Bubba Wallace spun and brought out a caution. Joey Logano then had a horrendous restart from the lead which plummeted him to a 7th place finish. “Performance Wise”, I think Logano had the 2nd best car. You can continue reading about his accident here.
Martin Truex Jr. – Martin Truex Jr. won at Kentucky in dominant fashion in 2017 and 2018. Last year, he wasn’t even a factor and was likely around 10th place good but finished a misleading 19th. During green flag pit stops with about 35 laps to go he was caught speeding on pit road. Prior to that green flag pit cycle starting he was running just outside the top ten. His average running position for the evening was 13.1.
Aric Almirola – When late cautions come out in races, some drivers benefit and for others its to their detriment. Last year at Kentucky before the late caution came out, Almirola was running in 7th with 11 laps to go. When the race reached its conclusion he finished 14th. From the race I’ll note he finished 5th in Stage #1 and 10th in Stage # 2. His average running position ranked as the 3rd best at 7.8.
Brad Keselowski – Brad Keselowski finished 20th last year at Kentucky, but you can completely disregard that result. Early in the race he developed engine issues and after that he was a non-factor.
