Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Dover (Fall 2019)
Joey Logano – Last fall at Dover, Joey Logano’s race was over before it began, literally. When the race started he was in the garage with a broken axle. When he returned to the track he was about +20 laps down and that doomed him to a 34th place finish, where only attrition could help him.
Erik Jones – Erik Jones had a great car last fall at Dover, but you wouldn’t know it by looking at his 15th place finish. “Performance Wise”, Jones was a top five contender. In the race he finished 9th in Stage #1, 7th in Stage #2 and was running in 6th prior to getting a speeding penalty during green flag pit stops around lap 323.
William Byron – William Byron finished 13th last fall at Dover, but he was better than his result. In the race he finished 4th in Stage #1 but during green flag pit stops around lap 188 where he was running in 6th prior to the pit cycle he was caught speeding on pit road. In terms of speed late in a run, he ranked as the 7th best.
