• Kevin Harvick was the class of the field. When he was out front late, nobody had anything for him. 
• Jimmie Johnson and William Byron had great cars. Johnson wrecked while leading late in Stage #1, and Byron wrecked while running in the top five early in Stage #2. He won Stage #1.
• Kyle Busch was off early, but he got better over the course of the race but made a late unexpected pit stop while running in the top ten which led to his misleading 26th place finish.
