Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Bristol
Denny Hamlin – This spring at Bristol, Denny Hamlin was a standout performer, but he finished an asterisk mark 17th. “Performance Wise”, a solid case could be made that Hamlin had the best car. He led a race high 131 laps and paced the field the previous 53 laps before he had problems while leading with 12 laps to go which led to him spinning and damaging the #11.
Ryan Blaney – This spring at Bristol, Ryan Blaney was a contender to win, but he finished dead last. In the race he led 60 laps, finished 2nd in Stage #1 and was running in 2nd at lap 200 at the time of his demise when he spun and then Ty Dillon plowed into him.
Chase Elliott – Chase Elliott was a standout performer this spring at Bristol, but with 3 laps to go while battling for the lead he had contact with Logano which relegated him to a 22nd place finish. From the race I’ll note he won the first two Stages and led 88 laps.
Joey Logano – This spring at Bristol, Joey Logano was a consistent front runner, but he finished 21st after having problems at the end. In the race he finished 5th in Stage #1, 4th in Stage #2 and was battling for the lead with 3 laps to go until Chase Elliott slid up into him and he got heavy damage.
