Notable Moment: During the competition caution, Jimmie Johnson got a “Safety violation” which dropped him to the back. He was in 8th prior to the penalty.
On lap 26, Kevin Harvick took the lead running the outside groove. He then led the next 30 laps.

On lap 57, Aric Almirola retook the lead. Almirola then led the next 7 laps until he made a scheduled green flag pit stop.
Around lap 65, green flag pit stops started for drivers who didn’t pit during the competition caution (4,19,10)
Notable Moment: During green flag pit stops when he re-entered the track, Aric Almirola got a “Blend line” violation penalty which resulted in a drive thru penalty. This dropped Almirola a lap down.
Notable Moment: While leading on lap 67, Martin Truex Jr. ran out of gas and was slow on the track.

Big Moment: On lap 117 while running in 11th, Jimmie Johnson slammed into the wall hard which brought out a caution.
Big Moment: Jimmie Johnson had too many people repairing his car when he came in for repair. This led to a two lap penalty.
Notable Moment: On lap 124 shortly after the Johnson caution restart, Christopher Bell got into the wall.

Notable Moment: On lap 189, Chris Buescher made an unexpected pit stop. In a prior pit stop not much fuel was added to his car because of a fueling parts problem.

Big Moment: On lap 218 on the opening lap of the final Stage, a “Big One” ensued.
- Kyle Busch slide into the grass. Martin Truex Jr. who was near the front got turned into the wall and got heavy damage. Cole Custer’s car got destroyed at this time. Ryan Preece got a lot of damage at this time. Chris Buescher got some damage at this time. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. got DNF level damage.

Notable Moment: John Hunter Nemechek spun out on lap 243 which brought out a caution. He was running in 23rd at the time. Tyler Reddick got the free pass at this time.
Big Moment: While running in 17th on lap 251, Ty Dillon slapped the wall hard. He had contact with William Byron. Byron also got into the wall at this time. Byron now had a broken suspension and his race was over.

Clint Bowyer was shown to have a good amount of damage to the nose of his car on lap 254 from an earlier incident.

Big Moment: Quin Houff crashed with 30 laps to go during a pit cycle which really burned some drivers who already pitted. Houff came down on Matt DiBenedetto which damaged the #21.
During the Houff caution, Austin Dillon and Tyler Reddick didn’t pit which got them up to 1-2.
